Launching the People's Market Movement, Pramono Urges Traders to Maintain Cleanliness

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung launched the people's market movement, revitalization and street vendor-MSMEs integration at Santa Market, South Jakarta, Tuesday (7/22).

We need to improve street vendor's life quality

Pramono said that this people's market movement aims to revive the market so that the lives of street vendors become better.

"We need to improve street vendor's life quality. They need to run their activity safely," he said.

He assessed that the people's market movement is an excellent effort to advance the nation's economy. The Governor also urged all street vendor associations to commit in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of traditional markets.

"Maintain the the cleanliness well, please," he appealed.

Through this program, Pramono also hopes to herald the revival of people's markets as a major economic pillar. Besides serving as economic and cultural hubs, people's markets also foster social interaction within communities.

He also invited all parties to work together to maintain Jakarta as a global and cultured city so that the welfare of the community can also increase.
