City Council Holds Healthy Walk to Celebrate Indonesia's 80th Independence Day

Jakarta City Council held a healthy walk event to celebrate Indonesia's Independence Day's 80th anniversary. The event took place at the Car Free Day area (Jalan Sudirman–Thamrin, Central Jakarta) on Sunday (8/10).

This is expected to strengthen our togetherness

Jakarta City Council Head, Khoirudin said, this health walk serves as an event to strengthen the relationship between council members and residents, as well as to foster the spirit of unity and national solidarity.

"This is expected to strengthen our togetherness, deepen the relationships among residents, and maintain unity and integrity, especially as Jakartans," he expressed.

They also distribute plant seedlings and trees as symbols of concern for the environment.

He also invites all parties to protect the Earth, especially the greenery of Jakarta, to make it a beautiful and livable city.

"This plant being distributed is not just a gift, but a message that the Earth belongs to all of us and must be protected. We want Jakarta to remain green," he said.
