The Jakarta Government is set to hold a Cultural Carnival to celebrate the 80th Independence Day of Indonesia. This event is planned to take place alongside the Car Free Day (CFD) at the end of August.

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, said there will be two Independence Day celebrations during the CFD. They are a car carnival organized by the Central Government on August 17 and a Cultural Carnival on August 31 by the Jakarta Government.
