City Council and City Government Agree on 2026 Regional Budget's KUA-PPAS MoU

Jakarta City Council and Jakarta Provincial Government held meeting to sign the memorandum of understanding of Draft Regional Budget and Budget Implementation Plan (KUA-PPAS) of the Jakarta Regional Budget for the 2026 Fiscal Year.

"We open this plenary session and it opens to the public," said Khoirudin, Jakarta City Council Chairman.

He explained that according to Article 90 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation Number 12/2019 about Regional Financial Management, regional heads are required to submit the draft KUA-PPAS to the City Council for discussion and joint agreement.

The Jakarta City Council has received a letter from the Jakarta Governor Number 420/ud.00.00 dated July 31, 2025 regarding the submission of the draft.

"Following up on the letter, the city council has conducted discussions in accordance with the applicable mechanisms and statutory provisions," he explained.

He added, according to Article 16 paragraph (6) of Regional Regulation Number 12/2018 about Guidelines for the Preparation of City Council Rules of Procedure, the KUA-PPAS that has been jointly agreed upon is signed by the regional head and the City Council leadership in a plenary meeting.

Based on the decision of the Consultative Body (Bamus) dated July 21, 2025, the signing of the KUA-PPAS took place today.

The plenary session concluded with the signing of the MoU on the KUA-PPAS for the 2026 Jakarta Regional Budget by Deputy Governor Rano Karno and the leadership of the City Council.
