City Council Supports Market Revitalization in Jakarta

Jakarta City Council Deputy Chairman, Basri Baco supports the market revitalization program as part of Jakarta's effort entering top 50 of global cities in 2030.

"Digitalization is unavoidable. We must implement it as quickly as possible to achieve our goal of making Jakarta a global city," he said, Thursday (8/21).

Basri also welcomed the planned revitalization of Jakarta's markets. He believes the improved facilities will make shopping more convenient for people.

City Government is Committed to Improving Tanah Abang Market Through Digitalization

"It is relevant with the governor's program. Both City Council and Jakarta Provincial Government hope all markets can be revitalized for the sake of better looking, better access, and an ease of transaction," he added.

He continued that the market revitalization is expected to have a positive impact, both for traders and visitors.

"This the governor program and city council is supporting it much. So we must move quickly on it," he stated.
