Mayor Anwar Initiates Joint Post at Congestion-Prone Locations in S. Jakarta

South Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar initiated the need for joint posts at several congestion-prone locations to facilitate and ensure that traffic control and management run optimally.

He explained, the post will facilitate the synergy of the related Regional Device Organization (OPD), including law enforcement elements.

"They (posts) are set up at points prone to traffic congestion. We also receive support from the police," he expressed, Friday (8/22).

He urged all parties to actively participate in addressing the traffic congestion issues on Jalan TB Simatupang, Jalan RA Kartini, and Jalan Pondok Indah.

"South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Satpol PP, and  South Jakarta Social Sub-agency must work together synergistically to overcome congestion caused by excavation projects," he explained.

He requested all related parties to take a firm stance on this jam issue, one of which is the collaboration between the Satpol PP and the Social Agency in regulating the civilians, popularly called "Pak Ogah" who are located along the road.

"They will be afraid if there are officers on duty," he asserted.

Therefore, Anwar will ensure that reports in the form of photos, videos, and narratives are made regularly, especially during busy hours.

"This report aims to monitor the conditions in the field, which will later be forwarded to the leadership to facilitate further coordination," he continued.

He added, the efforts undertaken are a form of tangible service to the community, so they can also feel the presence of the officers.

"Basically, I want this synergy to run optimally, providing the best service to residents or drivers," he stated.
