Channel Construction on Jalan Asem Baris Raya Almost Done

The progress of the water channel construction on Jalan Asem Baris Raya, Kebon Baru Urban Village, Tebet Sub-dstrict, South Jakarta, which began in April 2025, has now reached 90 percent.

The work started in April 2025 and is targeted to be completed by September 2025

South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Santo said, the water channel on Jalan Asem Baris Raya is built along 1,200 meters.

"The work started in April 2025 and is targeted to be completed by September 2025," he expressed, Saturday (8/23).

He explained, today, an inspection and socialization are conducted regarding the plan to tidy up the area with re-paving and road surfacing.

"We receive residents' aspirations through neighborhood administrators; the less-than-adequate asphalt will be torn up. Then, we will re-concrete and re-asphalt to make it stronger and neater," he explained.

During that occasion, the drinking water piping project by PAM Jaya was also socialized, which also used part of the road body at several points.

"After completing that project, we will also be the ones to tidy everything up so that the quality along this entire road remains the same," he added.

The work received appreciation from Kebon Baru Urban Village Head, Mariana.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), the residents support and are happy with this development program," he added.

The same appreciation also came from Kebon Baru Urban Village RW Forum Chair, Khoir Affandi.

"We are optimistic that the development will be done optimally with maximum results," he closed.
