Mati River Retaining Wall on Jalan Satria I Being Repaired

The North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is repairing the Mati River Retaining Wall on Jalan Satria I, RW 03, Pademangan Barat Urban Village, Pademangan Sub-district.

This is targeted for completion on November 2025

"Some of the retaining wall conditions are already leaning and damaged. Even, water often overflows during heavy rain, so we're making repairs and elevating it," said North Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Ahmad Saiful, Monday (8/25).

He explained the repairs have been underway since early August, covering 195 meters long with 180 centimeters high and 60 centimeters wide.

"We send nine workers to the location. This repair is done manually using river stone material and sloped iron to strengthen the retaining wall," he explained.

He added, this will be focused on two sides. Currently, work on one side has only reached about 15 percent or approximately 30 meters.

"This is targeted for completion on November 2025. Hope it is able to restore the function of this channel as before," he added.

The repair received appreciation from one of the locals, Riffat Ghifari (33).

"Hopefully, this repair can reduce the effects of flooding and be completed on time," he hoped.
