Sidewalks Revitalization on Three Road Segments in South Jakarta Finally Completed

The South Jakarta Public Works Sub-agency has revitalized the sidewalks on three road segments in Kebayoran Baru and Tebet sub-districts.

South Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency's Road and Bridge Section Head, Agus Indroyono detailed, the revitalization was focused on Jalan Wijaya II, spanning 1,500 meters with a width varying between three to four meters.

Then on Jalan Darmawangsa Raya, spanning 2,200 meters long with 2.7-4.6 meters wide, and on Jalan Tebet Utara I, spanning 600 meters long with two meters wide.

"It has been ongoing since April 2025 and will be completed until August 2025," he expressed, Monday (8/25).

He explained, this is a form of public infrastructure maintenance, improving accessibility and serving as a connector or Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) for residents who want to reach a destination.

"This is done at the request of residents and the local government, as well as the monitoring team's field results," he explained.

To enhance safety and comfort, bollards and guiding tiles for people with disabilities, as well as other supporting facilities, are also installed.

"Hopefully, this sidewalk will be beneficial for residents, especially pedestrians. Please take good care of it and use it appropriately," he uttered.

This revitalization received appreciation from one of the residents, Hidayat.

"Very good, even we who wait for public transportation feel comfortable with the new sidewalk and its supporting facilities," he stated.
