Thousands of Cibesut Residents Attend Free Health Check-Up

The Indonesian Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, in collaboration with the Cipinang Besar Utara (Cibesut) Urban Village in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, held a free health check and distributed basic food packages. A total of 5,000 residents attended the event.

During the activity, residents can check their height and weight, blood sugar, uric acid levels, blood pressure, and other tests. Those diagnosed with illnesses are immediately provided with medication and vitamins.

The enthusiasm was very high because there was also the provision of basic food packages consisting of rice, cooking oil, granulated sugar, and sardines.

The Indonesian Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Retired Police General Agus Andrianto, stated that this community service for residents around the Cipinang Penitentiary and the East Jakarta Immigration Office was part of a series of events commemorating the 80th anniversary of Indonesian Independence.

"A total of 5,000 residents received free healthcare services and basic food packages today," he said, Wednesday (8/27).

Head of Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village, Agung Budi Santoso appreciated the ministry ranks for providing this social event.

"A total of 5,000 residents from 177 RTs of 14 RWs received free health services and basic food package assistance," he admitted.

Meanwhile, one of the residents, Rosita (49), admitted happy to get free medical check-up and basic food packages.

"Hopefully this program can be held again," she hoped.
