BI: Quick Wins Program Plays an Important Role in Maintaining Economic Stability

The representative of Jakarta Branch Bank Indonesia (BI) appreciates the various quick win programs of Jakarta's Governor, Pramono Anung, and his deputy, Rano Karno, during their first 100 days in office.

Jakarta's position is very strategic

The various programs are believed to significantly contribute to Jakarta's economic growth.

Jakarta Branch BI Representative Office Deputy Head, Iwan Setiawan, said that Jakarta's economy serves as a national barometer. Therefore, whatever Jakarta does will be key to driving national economic growth.

Bank Jakarta Wins Three Digitalization Market Awards

"Jakarta's position is very strategic. I think the quick wins program is very good," he said after attending the City Budget (APBD) 2025 Jakarta Release event at the City Hall, Thursday (8/28).

He went on to say that the various programs implemented by the local government will have a direct impact on the economy. Therefore, the achievement of Jakarta's economic growth reaching 5.18 percent in the second quarter of 2025, which is higher than the national figure of 5.12 percent, is a positive development.

According to him, this achievement is a success that deserves gratitude and support. Moreover, Jakarta's economic growth has also made a significant contribution to the national economy.

"Jakarta's rule is that its economic growth contributes 16.61 percent to the national total. I think it is a success that we should be grateful for and support," he explained.

As information, besides explaining that the realization of the APBD 2025 expenditure has reached 37 percent or Rp 30.95 trillion out of a total budget by Rp 91.34 trillion, Pramono also detailed that regional revenue has reached Rp 43.65 trillion or about 56 percent. This amount was higher than the national achievement in the first half of the year, which is between 10-15 percent.

He also outlined various quick-win programs such as increasing the recipients of KJP and KJMU, diploma redemption, free public transportation for 15 groups, Transjabodetabek, and increasing allowances for dasawisma and RT/RW.

He believes that various quick-wins programs serve as a social cushion for the economy to improve welfare as a solution to disparities, which is one of the issues in Jakarta.
