Residents of Rorotan Enjoy Women’s Health Services

150 residents living in Rorotan Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta, participated in the Rorotan Women Health Services Healthy Outlet service initiated by the Jakarta Government in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa and in synergy with PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) at the Rorotan Flats area.

Deputy Assistant for Gender Mainstreaming in the Fields of Economics, Infrastructure, and Regional Development and Regional Government Region I, Eni Widiyanti, expressed appreciation and full support for the free health services activities including Mammography and General Check Up (GCU), as well as the seminar held.

"We warmly welcome this program that cares for women's health. It shows that health responsibility is not only the government's task but also our collective responsibility. Moreover, this program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," she expressed, Thursday (8/28).

She emphasized that the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection considers women's health issues as an integral part of gender mainstreaming and family resilience.

Thereby, she invited all parties to strengthen collaboration so that more Indonesian women could access equal healthcare.

"Preventive efforts that can be undertaken through early detection, as well as empowering women to maintain their own health and that of their families, are strategic steps that we continue to promote," she explained.

Apartment Management Unit (UPRS) III Head, Vita Nurviatin, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the activity, as it was very beneficial for women, especially mothers living in Rorotan Flats.

"Thank you to Dompet Dhuafa for providing health services to residents of Rorotan Flats," she stated.

Meanwhile, one resident of RW 07, Rorotan Urban Village, Surti (46), admitted that this activity was very beneficial and increased awareness about breast cancer prevention.

"I am able to participate in the free Mammography and GCU health services. Alhamdulillah (thank God), my results did not indicate cancer. This is very important, and we definitely gain many benefits from the Women Health Services activities," she closed.
