City Government Facilitates Affan Kurniawan Burial

Jakarta Provincial Government facilitated the burial of Affan Kurniawan (21), an online motorcycle taxi driver who was a victim of a demonstration on Thursday (8/28) evening. The deceased was buried at Karet Bivak Public Cemetery, Central Jakarta, Friday (8/29).

The agency has responded quickly

The green troops of the Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency have dug a grave for the burial of Affan Kurniawan's body, located in Block AA1 Blad 70 plot 0930. At exactly 10.15 AM, hundreds of motorcycle taxi drivers and a hearse carrying Affan Kurniawan's body arrived at Karet Bivak Cemetery.

Head of Jakarta City Park and Cemetery Agency, Fajar Sauri, said his side has prepared the burial of Affan Kurniawan's body at Karet Bivak Cemtery. It included the hearse facilities.

"The family has submitted a request that the body to be buried at Karet Bivak Cemetery," he said, Friday (8/29).

Meanwhile, Jakarta City Council Member, Wa Ode Herlina, appreciated the Jakarta Provincial Government for helping injuries an accidents victims during the demonstration at the DPR Building in Senayan.

"The agency has responded quickly to prepare the burial facilities at the Karet Bivak Cemetery," she stated.

Meanwhile, Tholib (47), Affan Kurniawan's uncle thanked the Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung for helping the burial process.

"On behalf of the family, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Jakarta Governor who has provided assistance in taking care of the body until it was buried at Karet Bivak Cemetery," he stated.
