Mass Cleanup Work in East Jakarta Involves 2,137 Personnel

The East Jakarta City administration held a cleanup action to clean public facilities affected by the protest action.

This activity targeting seven locations involves 2,137 joint personnel from 10 sub-districts throughout East Jakarta.

East Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin said, this is Governor Pramono Anung's instruction to clean up facilities and public buildings affected by the protest action.

"We were instructed yesterday to hold a cleanup action today," he said, Sunday (8/31).

From the results of the internal coordination meeting, it was agreed that one of the focus areas for this cleanup activity is the public facilities of the Police Resort and Police Sector offices.

He added this involves personnel from various units such as the Environmental Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, Parks and City Forests Sub-agency, Water Resources Sub-agency, Bina Marga Sub-agency, Satpol PP, and PPSU.

"Earlier, we had cleaned the road. Now, all districts are conducting cleanup simultaneously," he asserted.

The action above received appreciation from East Jakarta Metro Resort Police Chief, Alfian Nurrizal.

He admitted, this makes it easier for him to reorganize the office to better serve the residents of East Jakarta.

"This is how we maintain national unity. Therefore, I invite the residents in particular, to help us maintain security and order, because all of this belongs to us," he stated.
