Pramono Expresses Condolences at Affan's Residence

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, paid a condolence visit to the home of online motorcycle taxi driver Affan Kurniawan, who was a victim in the protest incident in Jakarta.

During the condolence visit, Pramono expressed his deep condolences for Affan's passing.

"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un (We belong to God and to God we shall return), our deepest condolences on the passing of our brother, Affan Kurniawan Bin Zulkifli," said Pramono while condoling at the mourning house on Jalan Lasem, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday (8/29).

He prays that the deceased is granted the best place in the sight of God. On this occasion, the Jakarta Government is committed to providing assistance to Affan's family, from the funeral process to the burial.

"Insya Allah (God willing), we will be present to provide protection and support to the family left behind," he explained.

He also ensured that the body preparation and burial process would be fully covered by the Jakarta Government. Through this assistance, it is hoped that the victim's family will not be burdened during the preparation and burial process.

"We are committed to fully assisting so that the family is not burdened. We'll facilitate the handling and burial as best as we can," he added.

He also urged all parties to maintain the situation in the capital city to stay safe and conducive.

"Hopefully all parties can exercise restraint and prioritize peaceful resolutions. Jakarta is our shared home, and we must protect it to keep it harmonious and orderly," he asserted.

According to data from Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes), there are also 38 people injured and currently being treated at several hospitals. Specifically, 1 person at RSCM Hospital, 12 people at Pelni Hospital, 8 people at RSPP Hospital, 5 people at Bhakti Mulia Hospital, 2 people at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital, 1 person at Patria IKKT Hospital, 5 people at RSAL Mintohardjo Hospital, 1 person at Eka Permata Hijau Hospital, 1 person at Tarakan Hospital, and 2 people at RSKD Duren Sawit Hospital.

He emphasized that the Jakarta government will bear the full cost of treatment for all patients.

"We will fully cover the treatment costs for all patients without exception. We want to ensure they receive the best healthcare services without worrying about the cost," he asserted.

So, the Jakarta Government continues to coordinate to ensure the situation remains under control and the rights of the community are protected.
