City Disburses Rp 2 Trillion to Bank DKI

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) will gives Rp 2 trillion for Bank DKI through Government Investment Participation (PMP). Currently, a business study is being conducted to determine appropriate program.

Although Ahok have no target, he trust Bank DKI direction to be able to decrease the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) or bad loans with this assistance and improve Bank DKI's performance.

Furthermore, Ahok also discussed with Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia in selecting new directors. As a result, some professionals from Mandiri, BCA and BNI Bank also recruited. "I believe Bank DKI is under good management now," he told.

By recruiting professionals, Ahok added, he want reorganize Bank DKI and change the stigma about regional development bank (BPD) that always in bottom rankings.

"Until today, regional development bank (BPD) is still seen as a lower-class bank. We should prove to everyone that BPD has small NPL and not corrupt," he said firmly.
