Bank DKI Sharia Expanded to Bandung

Bank DKI keep increasing expansion network of service office in some areas. The bank whose majority stock owned by Jakarta Provincial Government through its sharia enterprises unit, now it exists in Bandung.

Operational Director of Bank DKI, Martono Soeprapto stated, this action is purposed to realize the aspiration of Bank DKI to transform into a general national scale bank, also maximize intermediation role to citizens.

"Bandung has been known with its potential in a creative industry for a long time, such as culinary, fashion, handicraft, education, nature tourist destination and culture. Hopefully opening of the branch office could build a synergy that has mutually beneficial between Bank DKI and creative industry players there," said Soeprapto via press broadcasting received by beritajakarta.com, Sunday (5/24). 

He explained, actually Bank DKI conventional has existed in Bandung Since June 2013 ago. The existence of Bank DKI Sharia is more intended to give banking service that more comprehensive to Bandung citizens. The citizens response for Bank DKI conventional within this 2 years is quite good, thus the management decided to add one more office network in Bandung in order to be more optimal serving the citizens.

"Currently, Bandung citizens can choose using banking service from Bank DKI in conventional or sharia. Both of them, certainly just as good," he told. 

Soeprapto claimed, the existence of Bank DKI in some areas also intended to give a support for economic development in an area. " We hope it could be a second child of Bandung Administration," he disclosed. 

Director of Bank DKI, Eko Budiwiyono said, by opening network office outside of Jakarta, it does not meant Bank DKI forgetting about its role to be more involved in economic development of the city. Opening of branch offices outside the city conducted in some cities which are the regional business center that have significant business connection volume with the city. 

While in Jakarta, Bank DKI also keep improving its role in UMKM funding and facilitating less cash payment system in various activities such as KJP, PBB/BPHTB, the other taxes, flats retribution, e-ticketing Transjakarta, street vendors, peddlers retributions, parking, Jakarta Night Market, and many more.
