Hundreds of Liquor Bottles & 2 Drunken Youths in Cipayung Secured

Two drunken youths and hundreds of liquor bottles successfully secured from a joint raid held by East Jakarta Administration and police officers on Saturday (7/4) until Sunday (7/5) midnight. Those were raided in some locations that spread in Cipayung Sub-District.

Its operational must be closed at 10 PM. To give detterent effect, we had to confiscate two computers from two internet cafes

The raid is focused on cafe, internet cafe, billiard game place, boarding house, and traditional herbal medicine shop. It aims to create public order during Ramadhan.

The two netted youths are identified as Jejen (23) and Arif (24). Before the raid, both were busy consuming alcohol drink at the soccer field, Jalan Bambu Wulung, Bambu Wulung, Bambu Apus Urban Village, Cipayung. Then the officers immediately brought them to Cipayung Metro Sector Police.

Liquor Bottles Seized During Raid in Tegal Alur

Besides them, the raid led by East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana also secured two unmarried couples from a boarding house. They immediately brought to Cipayung Sub-District Office for guidance.

Similar condition was also spotted at a traditional herbal medicine shop, Jalan Mabes Hankam, RT 05/01, Setu Urban Village, Cipayung. About hundreds of liquor bottles with alcohol content more than 15% were successfully confiscated.

Furthermore, the officers also raided 2 internet cafes which still open 24 hours. Whereas, the owners had been warned repeatedly.

"Its operational must be closed at 10 PM. To give detterent effect, we had to confiscate two computers from two internet cafes," he told. 

According to him, as many as 127 joint officers were deployed and divided into 4 teams to improve security during Ramadhan by targeting some places that could potentially disrupt public order.
