5,247 Bottles of Liquor &100 Grams of Crystal Meth Destroyed

Friday (6/26), Central Jakarta Metro Jaya Resort Police destroyed as much as 5,247 bottles of liquor, 100 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 5,297 ecstasy pills in the field of Kemayoran Complex Management Center (PPKK).

Relaying on beritajakarta.com's data, the 5,247 liquors are destroyed using an heavy equipment, as well as ecstasy and crystal methamphetamine using a blender.

City to Tightens Foods and Drugs Supervision

Chief of Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police, Sr. Comr. Hendro Pandowo said the liquor circulation in Central Jakarta is still unsettling local people. It is very prone to disturb public order and trigger criminal action.

“Last Ramadhan, around 20 citizens were dead due to bootleg liquor (oplosan). That’s why, we take stern action to create public order during Ramadhan,” he expressed, Friday (6/26).

Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede gave an appreciation to the ranks of Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police over the achievement in an effort to combat drugs and liquor.

“Johar Baru area is one of brawl-prone areas, therefore we also plan to hold raid intensively, especially during Ramadhan, this is for public convenient and safety,” he disclosed.
