City and Central Governments Ready to Provide Affordable Housing

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung emphasized the support of the Jakarta Provincial Government for the central government's program in providing three million affordable homes.

At a housing credit program socialization event organized by the Ministry of Housing and Settlements (PKP), Pramono also conveyed the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to providing affordable housing to support the central government's programs. One of these initiatives is preparing to build 19,800 housing units.

"Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing to construct 19,800 housing units or more," said Pramono, Wednesday (9/10).

Pramono added the Jakarta Provincial Government also has an application to facilitate public access to housing, called Sirukim. Hopefully everyone will have an equal opportunity to obtain housing.

"The hope is that in Jakarta, matters concerning housing or residences can proceed well," he added.

Therefore, he appreciated the Ministry of PKP for organizing the socialization of this housing credit program. Pramono emphasized the importance of synergy between the central and regional governments to ensure the program's success.

According to Pramono, this program also provides various conveniences, including subsidies to help ease the burden on people in the home ownership process.

Meanwhile, Minister of Housing and Settlements (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, expressed his appreciation for the Jakarta Provincial Government's support in realizing this program. He stated that various stakeholders, including contractors, developers, building supply stores, and MSMEs, have benefited through this program.

"Thanks to the Governor. We have synergy with complete ecosystem," he stated.
