Jakgreen Supports Jakarta's Zero Emission Target Achievement

Through Jakgreen, the company aims to create a more integrated sustainability ecosystem, starting from the establishment of Jakarta Carbon Hub as a platform for collaboration among green economy stakeholders, to the development of the Project Offset Developer focused on emission reduction projects such as ecosystem restoration and waste-to-energy conversion.

Jakgreen also promotes the implementation of green technology in various sectors, including electric transportation, renewable energy, and innovative waste management.

Corporate Secretary Jakpro Vice President, Yeni Widayanti, said this initiative is an important strategy to make Jakarta a green city with global competitiveness.

She explained Jakarta BERJAGA 2.0 is part of a series of internal sustainability initiatives conducted by PT Jakpro throughout 2025.

"For Jakpro, sustainable commitment is not only realized through external programs involving the community but also internalized within the company's work culture," she expressed, Monday (9/15).

She explained, Jakpro also held a waste awareness action in the Thamrin–Sudirman area on the National Waste Awareness Day 2025, which educated the public about the importance of waste management from the source.

According to her, this commitment is reinforced through the implementation of a waste segregation system across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs), to ensure the principles of the circular economy are reflected in daily operations.

"Clean Desk Policy is also implemented as an environmentally friendly work culture that encourages a tidy workspace, minimal paper use, and energy conservation," she explained.

She continued, PT Jakpro, along with its subsidiaries and business units, continues to collaborate in presenting green initiatives, community health campaigns, and environmentally friendly culture integrated into global sporting events like Formula E. Sustainability is a long-term investment for the city and its residents.

This initiative is PT Jakpro's ongoing commitment to participate in building a healthier, greener, and more responsible Jakarta.

"Through a series of TJSL activities in the Jakarta BERJAGA 2.0 event, we not only aim to make the event successful but also invite all layers of society to become agents of change in maintaining personal and environmental health," he added.

As information, PT Jakpro participated in the main event Jakarta BERJAGA 2025 held at the Southeast Plaza, Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Central Jakarta on Sunday (9/14).

Jakpro's support for Jakarta BERJAGA 2.0 as part of the movement to care for the health of Jakarta residents and to strengthen our long-term commitment towards Zero Net Emission Jakarta 2050 through the Jakgreen movement with various sustainability initiatives.

"This cross-sector synergy emphasizes that the effort to realize a greener and more sustainable Jakarta can only be achieved through joint collaboration," she closed.
