Progress in Rearranging the Underpass at Pegangsaan Dua Reaches 90 Percent

The progress of land arrangement under the Kelapa Gading - Pulo Gebang toll roads at Jalan Boulevard Timur, RW 02, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading Sub-district, North Jakarta, which has been underway since July 2025, has reached 90 percent.

Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village's Economic and Development Section Head, Pitra Seva said, the arrangement of slum land into a park is part of the third phase of the superior area arrangement program in the area. Previously, this 858-square-meter area was used as a scrap collection site, chicken and bird cages.

"We are arranging to make it look beautiful, clean, and tidy," he said, Wednesday (9/17).

He explained that the arrangement of this area adopts a Hill Park concept, completed with various ornamental and productive plants such as Philo Lemon, Tabebuya, Rawelia, Bougainvillea, Kipas Palm, Mini Banana, and Mango Trees.

"This land is also completed with a jogging track to facilitate the community who want to exercise," he explained.

He added, the arrangement involved six personnel every day. It also collaborated with Public Works and Public Housing Sub-agency, Public Works Sub-agency, Satpol PP, and others.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), we received assistance through the CSR of PT Optima Lestari, which greatly helps us beautify this area," he added.

Hopefully, there would no longer be land occupied negatively and the amount of green open space in Jakarta would continue to increase.

"Hopefully, this area can also become a place for community social interaction. I urgw the residents to actively participate in maintaining and caring for the area," he asserted.

Aside that, the work received support from one of the locals, Sukahar (39). Moreover, the land was previously neglected and filled with scrap materials.

"I really support and appreciate it because this area is becoming more beautiful, clean, and well-organized. The jogging track area can also be used for both sports and pedestrians," he stated.
