500 Participants Attended PBG and RDTR Socialization in West Jakarta

A total of 500 participants attended the socialization of Building Approval (PBG) and Detailed Spatial Planning (RDTR) in the MH Thamrin Room, West Jakarta Mayor's Office.

We can prevent illegal buildings

West Jakarta Secretary, Firmanudin Ibrahim said this socialization is important for public to know the procedures and benefits of PBG and RDTR, and understands that these regulations are made for the common good.

"We can prevent illegal buildings, land disputes, and irregular urban planning in West Jakarta with good understanding," he said, Wednesday (9/17).

Firmanudin explained that urban development is not solely the government's responsibility but also requires active community participation. With the PBG, residents can ensure that every building constructed is safe, well-maintained, and compliant with the land's intended use.

Furthermore, the RDTR can serve as a guide for residents in utilizing the space within their area. This allows development to be directed according to plans, resulting in a more comfortable, orderly, and beneficial living environment for daily life.

"I hope participants can obtain clear information so that if they want to build or renovate a building, the process can be carried out according to the rules and will not cause problems in the future," he hoped.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Public Works, Spatial Planning and Land Sub-agency, Heru Sunawan explained this socialization was carried out to implement or realize the mandate of the Job Creation Law.

According to him, the socialization attended by 500 participants from government agencies, environmental administrators, and business actors, aimed to ensure development complies with technical, legal, and safety standards. It also encouraged active community participation in planning safe, comfortable, and productive spaces.

"Hopefully there will be fewer errors during the application process because residents as land or building owners must know the rules so that there is no misinformation in the process," he hoped.
