Renovation work on the Seribu Islands Regional Hospital (RSUD) building on Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district is ongoing at a rapid pace. The progress has reached 44 percent and is targeted to be completed by February 2026.
This renovation is being conducted gradually
Seribu Islands RSUD Director, Ghamal Ahmad Pramana said, the physical renovation of this hospital has begun since mid-January 2025, conducted by a third party, PT Jantra Swarna Dipta.
"This renovation is being conducted gradually, and currently only part of the building has been renovated. This is to ensure that patient services continue to run and do not disturb visitors," he expressed, Thursday (9/18).
Budhi Asih Regional Hospital Innovates to Accelerate Referral SystemHe explained that initially, the renovation was targeted to be completed by early December 2025, but some technical issues on the ground have caused the completion target to likely be delayed until February 2026.
"This was done during the expansion of the inpatient ward from 20 beds to 50 beds, including an increase in the scope of work such as structural reinforcement of the existing building. Therefore, the construction process took longer," he explained.
According to him, the characteristics of the Thousand Islands region differ from the mainland because they require extra planning in project execution and must be done carefully.
"Safety aspects are certainly a priority. Not only for patients and visitors, but also for the workers," he asserted.
Seribu Islands Regency Secretary, Tri Indrawan added, this renovation is part of the local government's commitment to ensure adequate healthcare facilities, as well as to improve services for Seribu Islands people.
"We'll keep conducting strict supervision and ensure that the progress of the hospital renovation construction proceeds according to budget, plan, and procedures," he added.
He reminded the importance of complete administrative reports as a basis for good development planning. If there are any obstacles, they should be reported immediately and solutions should be sought together to ensure the project remains on schedule.
"Hopefully, this renovation will improve the quality and capacity of healthcare services, especially for residents," he hoped.
