Health Centers and Regional Hospitals Still Operate Throughout Eid ul-Fitr

Jakartans do not need to worry about medical service during Eid ul-Fitr. This is because, the city administration ensured medical service in Regional Public Hospitals (RSUD) and Comunity Health Centers (puskesmas) will keep operating for 24 hours. 

The general service and emergency unit (UGD) will keep operating for 24 hours, including health centers in sub-districts which have emergency unit

"The general service and emergency unit (UGD) will keep operating for 24 hours, including health centers in sub-districts which have emergency unit," said Head of Jakarta Health Department, Koesmedi Priharto, Monday (7/6). 

Priharto disclosed, the opening of 24-hour emergency unit service in regional hospitals and health centers is aimed to provide service for patients during Eid ul-Fitr. "Emergency unit still opens thus patients who need health service still being served," he uttered.

East Jakarta to Hold Free Medical Check-Up

He added during the celebration, some health centers' staffs such as doctors, nurses, administration staffs and ambulance drivers will  alternately be on standby for 24 hours. "They still work to give health service" he disclosed. 

He continued such service that closed during Eid ul-Fitr is only polyclinic in Urban Village Health Centers. It is closed following with national holiday on July 17-18, 2015 and public leave throughout Eid ul-Fitr on July 20-21, 2105," he explained.
