Tanjung Priok Sub-Dist Puskesmas to Be Upgraded to 5 Floors

Besides Cilincing, Pademangan, and Koja Sub-Districts' Community Health Center (Puskesmas), the Tanjung Priok Sub-District Puskesmas will also be transformed into type-D hospital. So far, it is still being renovated.

"The puskesmas will have 5 floors, in which it is twice as large as there will be additional construction aside," said Head of Tanjung Priok Puskesmas, Yudi Dimyati, Tuesday (4/21). 

Some facilities and medical examination facilities are also upgraded. Among them are inpatient room, laboratory, and rontgen service. "Perhaps, all maternity homes will be focused in sub-district general hospital. Puskesmas refers to basic treatment and prevention, counseling to people and RWs," he explained. 

2 New Hospitals Type D Ready to Be Operated in April

Eventually, Tanjung Priok Sub-District Puskesmas would be able to accommodate referral patient from puskesmas in Tanjung Priok Sub-District. "The flow is, all puskesmas in Tanjung Priok Sub-District upgraded to Tanjung Priok Sub-District Hospital. From Tanjung Priok Hospital, will contact Koja, Tarakan, Cengkareng, and Budi Asih Hospitals, for instance there is emergency or severe disease patients. So it's tiered," he expressed.

If the capacity is insufficient, the patient will be referenced to Regional Public Hospital. "Sub-district hospital refers to severe disease. While for Koja Sub-District Hospital, refers to specialist, so it should be sent to Koja. Until it gets full, patients will be referenced to Persahabatan Hospital, Gatot Subroto," he disclosed.
