Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung launched the ITB Ultra Marathon 2025 at Grha BNI, Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Friday (9/26) evening. This cross-city running event will cover a distance of 180 kilometers from Jakarta to Bandung, West Java.

"Jakarta is preparing to become one of the 50 best global cities. This major event like the ITB Ultra Marathon is proof that Jakarta is capable of hosting and promoting a healthy lifestyle," said Pramono.
Governor Pramono Releases 1,700 Participants at ASN Run 2025Pramono added that the enthusiasm of the participants in the activity proved that sport is not just about competition, but has become a means of strengthening social interaction and the spirit of unity.
Participants will take a route that will not only test their physical endurance but also provide an emotional experience for the runners. From the hustle and bustle of Jakarta to the natural beauty along the route to Bandung, participants will be invited to experience a monumental journey full of meaning.
"Every runner will gain a valuable experience. Beyond the physical struggle, they will be treated to beautiful natural panoramas, such an expensive experience," he added.
With the theme "Run for Stronger Unity in Diversity," the ITB Ultra Marathon 2025 attracted over 5,000 participants. 3,775 runners are ready to tackle the 180 km distance, while another 1,550 participate in the 5 km Fun Run category.
The participants will be crossing Bogor, Puncak, Cianjur, Padalarang, and Cimahi. All participants are expected to complete the race within a maximum of 38 hours, ending at 11:00 AM on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Meanwhile, ITB Rector Tatacipta Dirgantara stated that the event will run until Sunday (9/28). Participants will finish at the ITB Ganesha Campus.
"This event isn't just a running race, but also a way to show our appreciation for our alma mater, ITB. See you at Ganesha on Sunday morning," he stated.
