Anti-rabies Vaccines Given to 3,529 Pets in Central Jakarta

Central Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency has given anti-rabies vaccines to 3,529 pets during January up to September 26, 2025.

The activity is free of charge

Head of Central Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency, Penty Yunesi Pudjiastuti said the vaccines were given to 2,934 cats, 570 dogs, 21 weasels, and 14 monkeys.

"We're targeting to give anti-rabies vaccines to 5,851 pets up to December this year," she said, Monday (9/29).

East Jakarta Remains Free of Rabies

She added her ranks will remain provide mobile services in eight districts. Mobile services have been held in three urban villages in Cempaka Putih District this month.

"The activity aims to maintain Jakarta status as free-rabies city," she added.

Meanwhile, Julinda (29), a local resident of RW 04 Rawasari, Cempaka Putih, appreciated this free anti-rabies vaccination.

"The activity is free of charge and accessible," she admitted.
