Jakarta's Central Statistics Agency Records 0.13 Percent Inflation

The Jakarta Central Statistic Agency (BPS) recorded inflation rate by 0.13 percent in September 2025. The number is nationally lower by 0.21 percent.

Head of Jakarta BPS Agency, Nurul Hasanudin explained September's inflation was influenced by several commodities in the first group, namely food, beverages and tobacco, which contributed 0.06 percent.

"The food, beverage and tobacco group has experienced inflation every September for the past four years," he said, Wednesday (10/1).

He explained that several commodities that were the main drivers of inflation in the first group were broiler chicken with an inflation rate of 10.62 percent, red chilies 8.24 percent, rice 0.05 percent, and cooking oil 0.01 percent.

"The personal care and other services group also contributed 0.05 percent to inflation in September 2025, as well as transportation by 0.01 percent," he explained.

According to him, Jakarta's inflation in September 2025 of 0.13 percent is still under control compared to national inflation which reached 0.21 percent.

"It is more controlled here in Jakarta related to the dynamics of price developments last September," he stated.
