Budget Realization Shows City's Support for Residents

Jakarta City Council Commission B Member, Wa Ode Herlina, assessed the Jakarta Provincial Government has performed optimally and prioritized the public's interests. This is reflected in the Jakarta Regional Budget realization report through July 31, 2025, which shows positive performance.

"The main public interest focuses are education, health, job creation through economic growth, as well as food stability with low inflation," she said, Thursday (8/28).

Wa Ode appreciates the various programs of the Jakarta Provincial Government that directly address the needs of residents, including social protection such as the KJP, assistance for the elderly, and affordable food programs.

She also assessed that the clean water distribution policy through PAM Jaya, channel repairs, and sanitation are a form of support for the community.

She also emphasized that solutions to Jakarta's perennial problems, such as flooding and congestion, must be highlighted too. The Ciliwung River normalization is expected to begin in 2026, while the development of mass transportation, including additional fleets and expanded routes, is believed to be able to reduce congestion.

"I hope the ease of doing business continues to improve. Proactive permits also need to be further streamlined in order to create job opportunity," she stated.
