Jalan Ambalat Area More Beautiful and Clean After the Makeover

Workers are arranging the quarter III superior area on Jalan Ambalat towards Harapan Island, RT 07/04, Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district, Seribu Islands.

This arrangement received positive responses and appreciation from one of the residents from RW 04, Kelapa Urban Village, Abdul Majid (43). He said, the land, which was previously overgrown with weeds and trash, is now better, tidy, lush, and clean.

"It's very well organized and has a selfie spot. This has a positive impact and can bring benefits to residents and tourists," he expressed, Thursday (10/2).

Kelapa Island Urban Village Head, Muslim explained that the previous arrangement was also conducted on a 160-square-meter land that was previously a parking lot and a site for illegal waste disposal site.

"That area has now changed drastically, I also saw four selfie spots for visitors or tourists," he explained.

According to him, the arrangement itself adopts a minimalist park concept complemented by decorative plants consisting of 10 types of plants, a unique Fish Statue from Kelapa Island, an information board about Pulau Kelapa made from recycled bottles, and park benches.

"It has been underway since mid-September 2025 ans involves 14 workers," he explained.

Hopefully, after this new public space is done, the public could help maintain the area so that it always looks beautiful, clean, tidy, orderly, and comfortable. Moreover, this area is believed to be able to attract tourists and support the local economy.

"Let's not have mischievous hands here. Hopefully, this area can also be a source of entertainment for the residents," he hoped.
