Channel on Jalan Mindi Being Normalized from Mud

The Koja Sub-district Water Resources Implementation Unit (SDA), North Jakarta, is conducting channel normalization on Jalan Mindi, Gang VI, Blok O, RT 07/06, Lagoa Urba. Village. The work is targeted to be completed by the end of October.

Hopefully, there will be no more floods

Koja Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Slamet Riyanto said, normalization is done by widening the channels to increase capacity. Additionally, mud and trash are also dredged.

"This aims to follow up the Lagoa Urban Village Head's proposal to optimize the channel's function, thus the water flow can run smoothly," he expressed, Friday (10/3).

Channel Normalization on Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Barat 2 Completed

He explained, the channel normalization with 1.2 meters deep was done along 130 meters. Then, the channel was widened from only 40 centimeters to 60 centimeters.

"This work has started on July 28, 2025, with the deployment of 10 personnel and their supporting equipment," he explained.

To dredge mud and trash, the officers have also carried more than 300 sacks.

"Hopefully, this can improve the capacity of the channel to be more optimal and ensure smooth water flow to prevent potential flooding," he hoped.

This action received appreciation from Lagoa Urban Village Head, Saiful Anwar.

"Thank you for responding quickly to our request. Hopefully, there will be no more floods," he said.
