Collapsed Retaining Wall on Jalan Batu Tumbuh Being Repaired

The collapsed retaining wall of the Cakung Lama River Connecting Channel on Jalan Batu Tumbuh, RW 03 and 04, Tugu Selatan Urban Village, Koja Sub-district is being repaired.

It is targeted for completion by the end of this October

North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA)'s Field Coordinator, Indra Sanjaya said, the retaining wall was allegedly caused by the bottom of its foundation being eroded by heavy equipment during dredging along Cakung Lama River.

"This repair is conducted in two stages in RW 04 area along 5.5 meters and in RW 03 along 20 meters," he expressed, Thursday (10/9).

He explained, the retaining wall itself has 70 centimeters wide and 1.6 meters high.

"It is done by installing a new construction. The first stage in RW 04 along 5.5 meters has been completed. Then, the next location will be continued," he explained.

He went on to say that the work has been underway since September 30, 2025, involving eight personnel plus one unit of heavy equipment.

"It is targeted for completion by the end of this October," he explained.

The repair received appreciation from RW 04 Chair, Semper Barat Urban Village, Sarmada.

"We are grateful and thank you; now it looks neater, cleaner, and more organized," he stated.
