Batu Ampar Urban Village Economy and Development Section Head, Isra Nur Hikmah said, the greenhouse covering approximately 100 square meters was a donation from Bank Indonesia (BI) through the East Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) last month.

She explained, IoT technology greatly facilitates the maintenance process because the entire system can be monitored and controlled remotely using a mobile phone connected to a dedicated application.
"By so, personnel can automatically control lighting, temperature, humidity, watering, as well as the application of fertilizers and pesticides," she explained.
She expressed appreciation to Bank Indonesia and East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency for their support of the food security program through urban farming.
"This program also serves as an educational tool for the surrounding community," she explained.
Meanwhile, Batu Ampar Urban Village Officer, Yudi Susilo, emphasized that the use of IoT technology greatly assists his work at the Saung Aset Urban Farming Greenhouse.
"Everything can be controlled through my phone, which is already connected to the system. Just open the app, then press the button according to the plant's needs," he explained.
Because the location of Saung Aset Urban Farming is close to Udara Segar RPTRA, many residents visit every day.
"They are usually interested and ask about farming methods. We're happy to share our knowledge with the residents," he stated.
