Stationary Pump in Petamburan to Be Revitalized

Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency is about to revitalize stationary pump in Petamburan Urban Village, Tanah Abang.

We'll replace it with three 500 Lps pumps

Sub-agency's Head Section of Flood Handling Facility, Clean Water, and Pump Management, Yusuf Saud said his side will replace two 100 Lps stationary pumps to handle flooding in the surrounding residential areas.

"We'll replace it with three 500 Lps pumps," he said, Tuesday (10/14).

He added that his party had conducted a study to replace the flood control pump in Petamburan.

"We are increasing the pump capacity to ensure that the puddles and flooding that frequently hit Petamburan residential areas recede quickly," he added.

Those three pumps are targeted for installation in December.

Currently, his party has 108 stationary pumps with a capacity of 100 to 6,700 LPS, as well as 31 mobile pumps with a capacity of 300 - 500 Lps spread across eight districts.

"All stationary and mobile pumps are ready to operate to overcome flooding during the rainy season," he stated.
