Bank Jakarta received the Regional Banking ESG Excellence Award for its contributions to economic growth in Jakarta and nationally through support for MSME, as well as community empowerment at the Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards event.

The award was received by Finance and Strategy Director for Bank Jakarta, Basaria Martha Juliana, as appreciation for Bank Jakarta's efforts in promoting ESG adaptation in its business activities.

Bank Jakarta Secretary, Arie Rinaldi explained, Bank Jakarta keeps promoting the expansion of economic inclusion through community empowerment, particularly MSMEs, including through collaborations with various parties in utilizing banking products and services that support the sustainability of micro businesses, ranging from cash management services, savings, current accounts, deposits, to financing facilities.
Recently, Bank Jakarta collaborated with Indogrosir to inaugurate the Mandiri Indogrosir (TMI) Disabled Store as a step to promote economic independence through an inclusive retail business model.
"Through this series of steps, Bank Jakarta consistently plays the role of a Regional Development Bank that strives to align ESG principles, particularly in social development, by creating a modern, inclusive, and sustainable MSME ecosystem," he explained.
As information, the Regional Banking ESG Excellence Awards are part of the Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards, which is a series of awards from CNBC Indonesia TV to provide exposure for institutions and corporations in Indonesia.
In 2025, awards will be given by considering the assessment of various indicators, taking into account business and financial performance, as well as evaluating the bank's governance based on the composite GCG score.
