Jakarta to Built Type-A Hospital on Sumber Waras Land

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has confirmed that the plan to build a Type- A Hospital on government land in Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, will begin soon.

The 3.6-hectare land can now be utilized following the termination of the investigation into the purchase case of Sumber Waras Hospital land by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in 2023.

"One was deemed finished, and we finally received confirmation from the KPK that the investigation into this place has been halted," he expressed, Monday (10/27).

Of the five findings by the Audit Board (BPK) that impacted the delay in development, three have been addressed. He also revealed that the taxable value of the land has now increased significantly.

"Based on the existing NJOP, it used to be minus Rp 191 billion, but now it has become Rp 1.4 trillion. Thus, more than Rp 700 billion worth of land here has increased in value. It's impossible to cancel," he explained.

With the legal issues resolved, he has received full support from the central government to continue the development.

"If the legal issue has been resolved and there are no more problems with the BPK, we thank you for giving the green light," he explained.

Pramono also admitted to having asked his staff to immediately continue the development plan and prepare a visibility study. He will also propose to the central government to include the hospital construction project in the National Strategic Project (PSN).

"Within the next 1-2 days, I will meet with the Minister of Health to sit together," he continued.

Regarding the budget, there are two schemes currently being considered. The first scheme is through creative financing by utilizing funds coming from the Ministry of Finance to Bank Jakarta, which is around Rp 10 trillion.

The second scheme is that if this project is included in the PSN, the Governor hopes to establish cooperation with the central government in the construction process, considering the land's location which is deemed very strategic.
