Tree Replacement Carried Out in Pondok Indah to Ensure Public Safety

Tree replacement efforts have been carried out along Jalan Metro Pondok Indah, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, involving the removal of trees at risk of falling and replacing them with more adaptive and visually appealing species suited to the area.

"...all tree replacements follow sustainability principles,"

Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency (Distamhut) Head, Fajar Sauri, stated that dozens of trees were renewed over two days. Several royal palm trees were removed and replaced with tabebuya trees to maintain greenery while improving the overall landscape.

“This reorganization of vegetation is aimed at ensuring road user safety while enhancing the quality of green open spaces,” said Fajar on Wednesday (10/29).

He added that the trees removed were either aging or potentially disruptive to public comfort.
