The Jakarta City Council supports the plan of Jakarta Provincial Government in constructing type A hospital near Sumber Waras land, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta.
Residents need it much
Chairman of Commission C, Dimaz Raditya, said residents need a hospital with complete facilities.
Jakarta and Health Ministry Join Forces to Develop International-Standard Hospital"We fully support the construction of type A hospital. Residents need it much," he said, Wednesday (10/29).
Dimaz also supported the Jakarta Provincial Government's move to utilize the land after the legal process was declared complete. He assessed that regional assets should be utilized for the public good.
He has no problem with the hospital construction using the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), or through a creative financing scheme for not burdening regional finances.
"Using APBD is not a problem. But it will be better without it," he added.
He assessed that the use of alternative financing schemes can help maintain the fiscal stability of the Jakarta Provincial Government, especially amidst cuts to the Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) next year.
Meanwhile, Chairwoman of Commission D, Yuke Yurike, stated the project is important to strengthen health services for Jakarta residents.
"As long as there are no more legal issues, this project is very much needed. We support it," she stated.
However, Yuke explained that discussions regarding this project are still in the early stages and have not yet reached the technical stage.
"We are pushing for immediate certainty so that the construction of this hospital can be realized quickly to give benefit for Jakarta residents," she said.
