Ahok Allows Household Assistant Come to Jakarta

Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama gives permission to the homecomers bring their relatives to work as a household assistant when they return to Jakarta. Considering, the existence of household assistant is much needed.

"The urbanization is easy, Jakarta is open for everybody. Even as a household assistant, we also need them for helping us at home," said Ahok, after he attended the ceremony of 2015 Ketupat Jaya Operation, in the field of Metro Jaya City Police, Thursday (7/9). 

Nevertheless, he asserted that those should already have skills and worthy settlement. "If you dare occupy dorms and forbidden places, we will demolish it when we hold an operation," he asserted.

He is not afraid of the surge of urbanization flow to Jakarta as traffic congestion factor because the city administration has prepared mass transportation. "Mass transportation has been prepared. Those who cannot find a job, they will go back to their origin by themselves," he expressed. 

For Jakartans who want to go for homecoming, Ahok reminded, to secure valuable items and electricity at home. "Turn off all electricity and entrust it to neighbor," he disclosed.

Such ceremony was led by Chief of National Police Gen. Badrodin Haiti and attended by Vice Chief Com. Gen Budi Gunawan, Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.
