Blood Donations Held Simultaneously at 330 RSUDs

A total of 330 Regional General Hospitals (RSUDs) throughout Indonesia, affiliated with the Association of All Indonesian Regional Hospitals (ARSADA), conducted simultaneous blood donation events.

This event, organized to commemorate the 25th anniversary of ARSADA, involved around 23,925 donors and has the potential to set a record and be registered in the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI).

Under the theme “You Are Healthy Because You Care,” this social action serves as a moment to strengthen solidarity and the spirit of mutual cooperation among healthcare workers throughout Indonesia.

The ceremonial opening, led by ARSADA Chairman Zainoel Arifin, was centered at RSUD Budhi Asih, East Jakarta. Jakarta Secretariat Assistant for Public Welfare, Ali Maulana Hakim; Head of Jakarta Health Agency, Ani Ruspitawati; and Chairman of Jakarta PMI, Beki Mardani, also attended the event.

Jakarta Secretariat Assistant for Public Welfare, Ali Maulana Hakim delivered appreciation for ARSADA's role as a platform for communication and collaboration among RSUDs across Indonesia.

"ARSADA is important as a bridge to share experiences and solutions across regions. The Jakarta Provincial Government sincerely thanks ARSADA for its contribution to improving public health services," he said on Monday (11/3).

ARSADA Chairman Zainoel Arifin emphasized that RSUDs are not merely public facilities, but pillars of the nation's health resilience.

"This blood donation is not just a social activity but a tangible form of synergy and care from RSUDs for others. We will register the nearly 24,000 donors with MURI," he mentioned.

Event Committee Chairperson Dyah Eko Judihartanti stated that in Jakarta alone, 31 RSUDs participated with a minimum target of 500 donors each. Donors included healthcare workers, administrative staff, janitors, and hospital security staff.

In addition to blood donation, the 25th ARSADA National Seminar will be held on November 27-28, 2025, discussing strengthening the capacity and independence of RSUDs in the era of national health transformation.

Meanwhile, Jakarta PMI Chairman Beki Mardani appreciated the event, saying it greatly helps maintain the blood stock in Jakarta.

"The blood demand in Jakarta reaches around 1,200 bags per day. This ARSADA blood donation event is very helpful in keeping the stock safe," he conveyed.
