Pramono Ensures No Problems at the Rorotan RDF Facility

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, responded to residents' rejection to the operation of Rorotan RDF Plant in North Jakarta. The main problem, he said, is not about the RDF Plant's facilities, but it lies in waste collection process and the waste itself.

Rorotan RDF, a Solution to Jakarta's Waste Problem
"The problem is not about the RDF Plant as we have already commissioned up to 1,000-1,200. The problem lies in the transportation and the waste," he said, Monday (11/3).
The waste used at the Rorotan RDF facility should be no more than two to five days old to avoid odors. Furthermore, the transportation process is problematic, causing leachate from the waste piles to flow during the journey to the Rorotan RDF.
"The car transporting the garbage scattered leachate. It caused the smell to spread everywhere," he added.
Pramono plans to meet the residents near the Rorotan RDF Plant to find resident's complaints solution. He ensured that the Jakarta Provincial Government will resolve the problem.
"I will meet them and hear their complaints. It must be solved well," he admitted.
