Workers Earning Rp 6.2 Million Can Ride the MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta for Free

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung expanded the benefits of the Free Mass Transportation Service Card in accordance with Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 33/2025 about the Provision of Free Mass Public Transportation Services.

With this Pergub, free cards are provided to 15 groups of people, including private sector workers with a maximum salary of 1.15 times the minimum wage or around Rp 6.2 million.

"I have decided and issued Governor Regulation Number 33, which regulates 15 groups that we are exempting and expanding to workers with a maximum salary of 1.15 times the minimum wage or around Rp 6.2 million who can apply for a free Mass Transportation Service Card," he said, Friday (11/7).

With this card, they are able to access various transportation namely Transjakarta, MRT, LRT, and Mikrotrans.

"The workers, both civil servant and private sector," he added.

Pramono hopes that expanding these benefits will increase the number of people switching to public transportation. Currently, 92 percent of all transportation in Jakarta is connected, but only 24 percent of people are using this facility.

"I want to be able to reach 30 percent. Use it continuously," he continued.

Besides reducing traffic congestion, he believes this effort will also improve air quality in Jakarta. Therefore, he is encouraging workers with a maximum salary of around Rp 6.2 million to apply for a Free Mass Transportation Service Card.

Pramono believes this policy will also make Jakarta a safer and more comfortable home. Furthermore, this transportation access will further facilitate residents' mobility.
