Pramono Calls for Following the Struggles of the Heroes

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, urged all ranks of the Jakarta government to emulate the nation's heroes. He conveyed this during his reading of the Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf's speech at the Heroes Day commemoration ceremony in 2025 on the grounds of Jakarta City Hall, Monday (11/10).

"The nation's heroes teach us that independence does not fall from the sky. Independence is born from patience, courage, honesty, togetherness, and sincerity," he expressed.

He emphasized that Indonesia's independence is the result of patience, courage, honesty, togetherness, and sincerity of the fighters. He also conveyed that there are three qualities that can be emulated from the nation's heroes.

That is patience in devising the struggle strategy, enthusiasm in prioritizing the nation's interests, and a long-term vision for the prosperity of the nation and future generations.

"The heroes fought for future generations, for the prosperity of the nation they love, and made this struggle part of their worship," he explained.

He also conveyed that the current struggle is different from the past, where it no longer involved spears but rather knowledge, empathy, and dedication. Nonetheless, his fighting spirit remains the same—to advance and educate the children of the nation.

"This is the spirit that is continuously nurtured through Astacita by President Prabowo Subianto, starting from strengthening national resilience, advancing education, upholding social justice, to building healthy, intelligent, and empowered Indonesian people," he continued.

He ensures that the heroes' struggles will continue by working harder and serving more sincerely, thus it can have an impact on the next generation and the progress of the nation.
