This construction of an 80-meter-long embankment with an 80-centimeter width serves to protect the land area from the threat of high waves and coastal erosion," said Seribu Islands Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) Head, Mustajab, Tuesday (11/11).
Before the embankment was built, the area had already been reinforced with broken stone jetties to withstand the waves. This was done manually, involving 14 personnel.

"It has been ongoing since October 2, 2025. The work progress has touched 30 percent and hope it can make people here safe and comfortable," he added.

He explained that the southern side of this beach is the border road between Harapan Island and Kelapa Island, so this embankment is very important and beneficial for the local.
