Meanwhile, Head of East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency, Abdul Rauf admitted there have been no significant obstacles in the work process, except when there is heavy rain.
"This revitalization will certainly increase the capacity of reservoirs and ponds," he admitted.
According to him, Giri Kencana Reservoir can reduce approximately 20,000 cubic meters of water from the Cilangkap area. Furthermore, the capacity of the Aneka Elok Reservoir has been increased from 6,000 cubic meters to 10,000 cubic meters.
"A pump unit with a capacity of 2,000 liters per second is also added to accelerate the reduction of waterlogging around the reservoir area," he stated.
