Tagana Jakarta Strengthens Synergy and Capacity

The Jakarta Disaster Preparedness Cadet Communication Forum (FK Tagana) strengthens synergy among members and formulates the direction of work programs in facing potential disasters and social activities in Jakarta.

Serves as the front line in mitigation efforts, education, and building social awareness among the community

Jakarta Social Agency Head, Iqbal Akbarudin, emphasized that synergy among members is very important considering the role of Tagana as the frontline in disaster management in Jakarta.

"Tagana is not only present during disasters, but also serves as the front line in mitigation efforts, education, and building social awareness among the community," he said during the Tagana management work meeting, Wednesday (11/12).

Besides performance evaluation, he explained, the working meeting also discussed various capacity-building programs, such as Tagana Goes to School (TMS) and Tagana Goes to Campus (TGTC).

All these programs aim to increase early disaster preparedness awareness among students and university students.

"Through this work meeting, it is hoped that stronger innovation and collaboration will emerge between the provincial and city Tagana," he explained.

Jakarta FK Tagana Chairman, Jhonny Marleen Siahaan stated this activity serves as an important consolidation event for all administrators to strengthen roles and coordination.

Through this work meeting, they want to ensure that every Tagana member has a shared understanding of their duties, responsibilities, and humanitarian spirit.

In the future, they will strengthen cross-regional synergy and encourage the regeneration of more prepared and resilient Tagana cadres.

"Programs like TMS and TGTC make the presence of Tagana tangible in the community, not only during disasters but also in building a disaster-resilient culture within the educational environment," he explained.

As information, the series of activities also included giving awards certificates to the facilitators and advisors of Tagana Jakarta.

The event concluded with an evaluation of the Tagana system and the formulation of follow-up recommendations to strengthen the institution and the capacity of volunteers.
