Active in Disaster Management, Dinsos Wins Award

The Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos), received an award from the Social Ministry (Kemensos) for its achievement in developing 1,369 active Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana) over the past four years.

The award is given as a form of appreciation for significant efforts in strengthening disaster management capacity in Jakarta. The Social Ministry assessed, Tagana had made an important role in various operations before, during and after the disaster under Jakarta Dinsos Head's Leadership, Premi Lasari.

According to him, Dinsos is focused on strengthening the capacity of Tagana members through intensive training, provision of emergency response equipment, and development of disaster preparedness community networks throughout Jakarta area.

With increasing capacity in disaster management, Tagana is now able to move more quickly and effectively in providing assistance to victims of natural and non-natural disasters, such as floods, fires, and other social crises.

"This is a real proof of the hard work of the team and our commitment to continuously improve disaster preparedness in Jakarta. They not only play a role in disaster management, but also in educating the community to be better prepared for potential disasters in the future," he expressed, Monday (10/21).

He emphasized the importance of synergy between local governments and communities in building resilient cities.

"It is hoped that this award will motivate Dinsos to continuously improve Tagana's performance and expand its network of cooperation in disaster management," he hoped.
