"After inspecting the location, the adjacent water channel was also prone to collapse. That's why we're also making repairs to increase the water volume," he said, Tuesday (11/11).

According to him, the initial plan for the water channel to be repaired was only 16 meters long, but now there has been an increase to a total of 23 meters.

The water channel repairs are carried out using river stones with a thickness of 30 centimeters at the bottom and 20 centimeters at the top. The height of the retaining wall is adjusted to the existing ground conditions, estimated at around 80-120 centimeters.

"The work is targeted for completion by the end of this month," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of RT 08/05, Makasar Urban Village, Zulkilfli admitted residents appreciated the quick response of water channel repair.

"Hopefully the newly improved water channel will last longer," he hoped.
