Head of the Sub-agency, Fajar Laksono said the assistance was provided as a form of the government's commitment to ensuring that the basic needs of residents affected by the fire were met quickly and appropriately.

"After the fire broke out, we immediately requested a census of the affected residents. This ensures that aid distribution is in line with the needs ," he said, Wednesday (11/12).

According to him, the assistance was given to fire survivors who took refuge in a post at Duri Selatan Urban Village Office.

The aid provided consisted of 10 sacks of rice containing five kilogram, 15 boxes of instant noodles, six packs of cooking oil, 12 bottles of soy sauce, 50 canned fish, 48 packs of biscuits, 20 blankets, 12 pairs of sandals, six boxes of mineral water, and 150 boxes of ready-to-eat food.

"We will provide ready-to-eat meals for the next three days, until the situation improves. However, if the need persists, we will continue to distribute them," he added.

Meanwhile, Duri Selatan Urban Village Head, Tariswan thanked the sub-agency for distributing the assistance to the fire survivors.

"The assistance was directly distributed to them immediately," he admitted.
